About festival

All theories are relative, while the scientific fun we have been preparing for you for the sixth year in a row is absolute. We do not want to be pretentious, but what we managed to do in practice exceeds all theoretical explanations. Last year, 21.000 visitors attended our events, while it was not possible to count all your positive impressions. Welcome to another fantastic and unexplainable Science Festival!

Scientists say that the most efficient learning method is by deducing, and that is why we will ensure through smart and entertaining programme that your realize how irresistible science is. At the Science Festival, it is as simple as a game, as fine as arts, as exciting as an experiment and as entertaining as a show programme.

What exceeded any theory is the fact that our visitors were enchanted with science. You will witness even more dynamic and interactive programme with plethora of practical activities and an ideal dose of theory. Dynamic and intensive contents will make you wonder where fun has been before, while international lecturers who keep coming back with fresh knowledge, will make the atmosphere international.

Science around the Clock 7+

This year, science is more social than before. At KLUZ, get closer to intriguing findings in the fields of psychology, andragogy and archaeology and get to know some entirely new branches of science at the Festival, such as medicine, geography and anthropology. more

Be constantly exposed to best exhibitions, installations and exciting experiments! Some 30 interactive installations in a number of areas will take you to an exciting trip through new knowledge. Presenters of fascinating scientific experiments are resolute to transfer all they can do to you. Become private detectives, pharmacists or forensic scientists. Discover secrets of our mind and mysteries hidden in the brain and fall victims to the most entertaining optical illusions. Come to science around the clock, it is more sociable than ever!

Experteenagers 7+

It’s over! The boredom and and watching the clock has come to an end. The refuge is science and fun. At a fantastic Kluz location, 95 of your fellow experteenageers will be waiting for you with 10 exciting installations.more

They will open to you the door of a laboratory of scientific magic in which bonding is a primary scientific method. You will see objects that fly and neither you, yourself will have a feeling of being static. There are no cons there, you will be in the company of the best scientific team to show you that idleness can be replaced with flying experience and boredom with a 4th century royal palace. You will be told fresh scientific gossips and introduced to a popular scientific culture. Believe us the Experteenagers will not leave you indifferent and scientifically unproven.

Whom It May Concern 13+

Enjoy current global topics, lively debates and duel interviews on stage in the SKC Ceremony Hall! Issues that many are afraid of (without any grounds) will be addressed here. For the beginning, one of them is: can we with our joint scientific arguments defeat the story of the end?more

Is colonisation of other planets a figment of human imagination or is it about scientifically grounded theory? How related are development of technology and underdevelopment of human sexuality?

Re-examine “the end“ and think of sexuality. December 2012 is by all means an ideal time to discuss 3 major topics “Is there life on other planets?“; “Doomsday – Disappearances - Approaching Cataclysm – and the Flood at the End?“; “Sexual Revolution, Sexolution“. Do not fear the end, as we tell you this is only the beginning of an extraterrestrially good friendship!

Fantastic-Scientific Stage5+

We put up a stage! ...the stage that is between dream and reality, possible and impossible, science and art. Welcome to a magnificent show which is to take place in the SKC Ceremony Hall and Bojan Stupica Theatre stage. more

If it occurs to you that you are at a party, it is understandable. On your initiative, we are having again an improved laser show which last year was no less than epic. We have been proving to you that science is not boring, now we are also showing how fine it is on the stage.

Learn to Have Fun! 18+

The Sixth Science Festival launches an official evening programme. This programme is recommended to those who are a bit older, more persistent and desirous of learning through concerts, quizzes and by watching films. more

The fun will take longer than usual and the performers you will see and hear prepare for you plenty of unusual. Rhythms of neuroscience, getting planetary aware on the stage, local hip-hop stars, video programmes, films and quizzes and much more excitement, dance and fun will take place there. It’s all up to you and how ready you are to enjoy it, so test your dance, dance with science in the SKC Grand Hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the party begins at 6.30 p.m.!

Scientific Workshops3+

Children need lots of space and that is why SKC and NBS Gallery will be converted into space for children to play with science. The youngest, being our future, can choose the workshop they wish to play in. They will be encouraged in exciting workshops not only to fool themselves but to do genuine scientific experiments. more

Make them use their imagination and give their opinion as they will be able to see interesting exhibitions adapted to their young age. Let’s awake environmental awareness of the youngest in a Spanish scientific kindergarten! Their installations are the most interesting for the children and you too will find their impressive space structures irresistible.

International experts are able to make science interesting for kids, and when learning through play, you, grown-ups might also discover affinity for a scientific branch. Let’s adorn the world of minds with the purest thoughts, free of prejudices and encourage the kids to do experiments, researches and to wonder.

TIckets

Tickets priced at 400 dinars can be purchased at Belgrade and in all major cities in Serbia in Eventim shops.

The festival ticket is zadneni program a festival day in RK "Kluz" Student Cultural Center Gallery and the National Bank of Serbia. Visitors interested in the program is solely for the SCC can buy a ticket for 150 dinars.

During the festival, will sell individual tickets (150 dinars) for "Physical-Laser Shows" in theater "Bojan Stupica" and the novelty of this year's festival-evening music and science program at SCC. These facilities are not included in the price of daily passes.

Children up to five years if accompanied by their parents' ticket.

Why the Science Fair?

2011

The fifth Festival of Science visited as many as 21.000 visitors. Interesting scientifically seen more than 4,500 students from as many as 135 schools from all over Serbia and children from five Belgrade kindergartens.

Interactive settings and true small laboratory, an interesting exhibition, fun workshops for children, inspirational lectures and films about life and everything that surrounds us. For those more interested in a combination of science and art, there is a separate program Sutra, held in the gallery of the National Bank of Serbia. Nearly 300 scientists from 38 domestic scientific and university institutions, many guests from abroad (USA, Austria, France, Switzerland, Estonia, Seden, and Croatia) and the brave and curious volunteers from the audience.

2010

The fourth Festival of Science was held on 3rd to 5th December 2010 at three locations: the former department store "Kluz", Student Cultural Center and Gallery of the National Bank of Serbia. Recorded a number of visitors 19,000.

Interactive settings and true small laboratory, an interesting exhibition, fun workshops for children, inspirational lectures and films about life and everything that surrounds us. For those more interested in a combination of science and art, there is a separate program Sutra, held in the gallery of the National Bank of Serbia. Nearly 300 scientists from 38 domestic scientific and university institutions, many guests from abroad and the brave and curious volunteers from the audience.

2009

The third Festival of Science visited as many as 17,000 visitors. Interesting scientifically seen more than 4,500 students from as many as 135 schools from all over Serbia and children from five Belgrade kindergartens.

This year's festival was attended by more than 200 scientists and researchers, who were asked to put the visitors in an understandable and interesting way to present and explain the significance of accomplishments in 28 scientific fields. And, from what I could see the last three days, their mission is successfully completed. Only during the first days of the festival setting and lectures is seen by 6000 visitors.

2008

The Second Science Festival (5-7. December 2008, Museum May 25th) had more than 15,000 visitors, which is almost twice more than the previous one, which had ‘only’ 8,000 visitors!

The festival was participated by 140 scientists and researchers from 18 scientific institutions and 3 lecturers from abroad, which tried to present and explain significance of new achievements on the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, mathematics, geology, psychology and genetics, as well as to answer numerous questions.

2007

The first Science Festival, that took place in Belgrade, December 1-2, 2007, had more than 8,000 visitors.

Such a massive response proves that there is a real need for presentation of science in a popular way and that following festivals should last more than two days. Besides citizens of Belgrade, pupils from Niš, Smederevo, Požega, Aranđelovac, Paraćin Nis, Smederevo, Pozega and many other Serbian towns came to have a great time in the wonderful world of science..
